Georgia will be well-represented in the upcoming Pro Bowl Games in San Francisco in February, a week before Super Bowl LX.
In fact, six former Bulldogs were named to the roster on Tuesday. That’s the most of any school in FBS, the program announced on Tuesday.
The list is topped by Matthew Stafford, who is having an MVP-type season with the Los Angeles Rams. His 4,179 yards and 40 touchdowns lead the NFL. Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith, who has 124 tackles, is also on the roster.
Some more recent Georgia products are on the list, too. That includes Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers and Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who have now been named to the Pro Bowl in both of their professional seasons. Buffalo Bills running back James Cook is a Pro Bowler for the third straight year.
Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens, in the midst of a career season, is a first-time Pro Bowler.
This is the third season the Pro Bowl Games have been held. The NFL switched formats several years ago in order to increase interest in the annual event.
