Georgia releases salary information for new assistants Bryan McClendon and Mike Bobo

Georgia has released the salary information for new wide receivers coach Bryan McClendon, and new offensive analyst Mike Bobo.
McClendon will make $700,000, while Bobo will make $100,000.
The information comes from the Athens Banner-Herald through an open records request, and McClendon’s salary is
more than the $550,000 Cortez Hankton was paid to coach wide receivers. Hankton left for LSU since the end of the season.
McClendon, like Hankton, is also the passing game coordinator. McClendon’s salary at Oregon was $515,000, according to USA Today’s salary survey.
Bobo is owed $2.6 million through Jan. 31, 2024 by Auburn after he was fired as offensive coordinator following one season, according to the Montgomery Advertiser.
McClendon, a former Georgia assistant, returns to Athens after 2 seasons at Oregon and a brief stint at Miami. He also previously coached at South Carolina.
McClendon was a wide receiver on Georgia’s 2005 SEC championship team and later a graduate assistant at UGA in 2007-08 and was named to the full-time staff as running backs coach in 2009, a position he held until 2015. McClendon was named interim head coach at UGA at the end of the 2015 season and led the Bulldogs to a 24-17 victory over Penn State in the TaxSlayer Bowl.
Bobo was a record-breaking starting quarterback and then spent 16 seasons working for the program at Georgia before he left to become the Colorado State head coach, and later the offensive coordinator at South Carolina and Auburn this past season.
