Just when you thought 2026 college football recruiting was all sewn up, the Georgia Bulldogs changed the conversation – reportedly adding Flowery Branch (Ga.) wide receiver Tre Shields.
On3 reported Sunday that Shields, who is a late qualifier to the class, will join the 2026 Bulldogs immediately. The 6-foot-2 receiver missed his sophomore and junior seasons but returned to the field in a big way in 2025 as a senior, catching 54 passes for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns to lead the Falcons in all three categories.
Shields is the second late offensive addition to Georgia’s 2026 class, as Roswell running back Nick Peal signed with the Bulldogs in April. Peal also turned in a sterling senior season, piling up 192 carries for 1,395 yards and 19 touchdowns
