The Georgia Bulldogs‘ season concluded with a 39-34 loss to Ole Miss in the Sugar Bowl on Thursday. On Friday, the losses started coming in other areas.

According to On3 Sports’ Hayes Fawcett, Georgia running back Roderick Robinson II is entering the transfer portal. The redshirt sophomore tallied 268 total yards and 3 touchdowns in limited action as a Bulldog since 2023.

Robinson was the No. 179 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s a 6-foot-1, 230-lb. rusher who averaged 6.5 yards per carry in his Georgia career. The bulk of his work with the Bulldogs came in 2023, when he rushed 24 times for 196 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Robinson had offers from a bevy of schools, including Florida State, Tennessee and Auburn, when he was a high school recruit. He was committed to UCLA before deciding on Georgia. The only other school Robinson took an official visit to after decommitting from the Bruins and signing with Georgia was Texas A&M.

Per Fawcett, there’s a chance Robinson can receive a medical redshirt year. If he does, he will have 3 years of college eligibility remaining. Regardless, his former pedigree and impressive build for the position should help him land in a solid situation for 2026.
