Carter was a 3rd round pick out of Georgia back in the 2018 NFL Draft. Although he was long gone by the time Georgia won back-to-back National Championships in 2021 and 2022, Carter played a big role in helping to build the culture in Athens under Kirby Smart.
Carter was a hero of UGA’s instant-classic Rose Bowl victory over Baker Mayfield and Oklahoma in 2018 Rose Bowl. Carter blocked a field goal from the Sooners in double-overtime, eventually paving the way for a 54-48 win over Oklahoma.
Carter was also named second-team All-SEC for his efforts during that 2017 season that ended with a National Championship Game appearance for the Bulldogs. Carter initially signed with Georgia as a 5-star recruit out of Norcross High School back in the class of 2014.
