Atlanta safety Seth Williams, a high-end 3-star prospect in the Class of 2027, announced on Friday that he will choose between the Georgia Bulldogs and Clemson Tigers on July 3, according to a report from Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett.
Williams hails from Lakeside high school and has canceled previously scheduled upcoming official visits to Florida and Ohio State following a visit to Georgia on June 5. Interestingly, Williams was committed to Clemson for a little over two weeks back in March through early April.
Before you think that means Georgia is a lock in this case, keep in mind that 247Sports’ Austin Hannon — a Clemson writer — predicts Williams will re-commit to Clemson as of Thursday, June 11.

Georgia does not currently hold a commitment from a defensive back in the Class of 2027. Clemson, on the other hand, has 4 — including 2 safeties.
Williams is a top-end 3-star prospect, coming in as the No. 451 overall prospect in the Class of 2027 per 247Sports. He’s also considered to be the No. 39 safety and No. 49 prospect out of the Peach State.
