Germie Bernard shared a heartfelt ‘goodbye’ message to Alabama fans on social media on Monday as he prepares for the next chapter in his playing career.

Bernard has exhausted in college eligibility. He spent 2 years in Tuscaloosa, but previously played at Michigan State and Washington. He arguably played the best football of his career under Kalen DeBoer this season with the Tide.

Bernard caught 64 passes for 862 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, leading the Crimson Tide in each of those categories for 2025.

“To the Alabama fans, than you for the support the last two years and creating the best environment in all of college football,” Bernard wrote in-part. “It was an honor to represent this university and the incredible community of Tuscaloosa.”

Here’s his full message to Alabama fans as he prepares to enter the NFL Draft:

Alabama is expected to return Ryan Williams and Isaiah Horton next season, but may look to the transfer portal for reinforcements at receiver. The transfer portal opened on Jan. 2 and is set to be open for 2 weeks.

The 2026 NFL Draft will be held from April 23-25 in Pittsburgh.
