Ty Simpson is one of the most intriguing prospects in the NFL Draft.
The former Alabama quarterback is likely to be selected in the first round of this year’s upcoming draft, with loose estimates placing him around the 10-30 mark. Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza is almost surely going to be selected No. 1 overall by the Raiders, and Simpson is assumed by many to be the next QB off the board. A few teams apart from Las Vegas need a QB, but has Simpson shown enough to earn a team’s commitment?
On Get Up Tuesday morning, Jason McCourty pitched Simpson to the Pittsburgh Steelers, pointing out that Simpson could learn under NFL veteran Aaron Rodgers should he decide to stay for another season. The Steelers still need a long-term answer at QB and fit right into the range that Simpson is projected, holding the 21st pick.
Several teams ahead of Pittsburgh are in need of a quarterback, too. The Jets are once again looking to find a long-term answer at QB, and the Cardinals recently saw Kyler Murray walk and land with the Vikings. The Jets and Cardinals hold picks 2 and 3, respectively, while the Jets also hold pick No. 16.
Here’s a look at the top odds to draft Ty Simpson, per Kalshi:
