The Missouri Tigers and the Kansas Jayhawks meet in Week 2 for a Border War showdown. Both teams are coming off victories in their last matchups and will look to keep the momentum going.

Missouri had an interesting Week 1. The Tigers lost Sam Horn for the foreseeable future due to injury, but Penn State transfer quarterback Beau Pribula had a standout debut. Pribula completed 23 of his 28 passing attempts for 283 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air. He also added 65 yards on the ground and 2 rushing touchdowns. Missouri went on to win 61-6 against the Central Arkansas Bears.

The Jayhawks leaned on veteran quarterback Jalon Daniels in their win against Wagner. Daniels completed 18 of his 25 passing attempts for 280 yards and 4 touchdowns. Wide receiver Emmanuel Henderson Jr. was the recipient of many of Daniels’ passes, hauling in 6 receptions for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns. This was the Jayhawks’ 2nd game of the season, as they beat Fresno State 31-7 on Aug. 23.

Greg McElroy made his pick for the Border War on his Always College Football show, and he chose the Missouri Tigers to win comfortably.

“Missouri is too good defensively and Kansas has too many question marks on the defensive side of the football,” McElroy said. “I think Mizzou will run it. I think they’ll have success. I think they’ll win this in pretty remarkable fashion, double digits, maybe 10 (points) thereabouts. I like Mizzou to hold serve at home against the Jayhawks.”

The Border War is set for Sept. 6 at 3:30 p.m. ET.
