Greg McElroy has been providing fans throughout the summer all kind of predictions on his show ‘All Things College Football’. He did a top 25 countdown earlier in August, but he has now made his prediction for the 12-team College Football Playoff bracket.

McElroy has a national championship matchup between the Clemson Tigers and the Texas Longhorns. These two teams matched up last season in the first round of the CFP last year, with the Longhorns winning that game. McElroy has the Longhorns winning this game as well, and the program getting its first national title since Vince Young led the team against USC in 2006.

He has the B1G leading the way with four CFP teams. Penn State, Ohio State and Oregon are in a lot of people’s brackets, but he also has a surprise in the USC Trojans.

The SEC is next up with three teams as Georgia and Alabama join Texas in the bracket. Miami is also representing Clemson from the ACC, with Notre Dame, Utah and Liberty filling out the rest of the bracket.

The college football season has already started, as Week 0 was last Saturday. None of the teams in his bracket played in Week 0, and they will all look to start what they hope is indeed a run to the CFP this upcoming weekend.
