Former South Carolina TE Hayden Hurst wasn’t just a football star. He’s also a former minor league baseball player.
However, Hurst is also a big hockey fan, so when South Carolina’s club hockey team needed some help, he sprung to action.
Per Chris Clark of Gamecock Central, Hurst donated $4,000 to the team to help them buy new equipment:
Hayden Hurst – a hockey fan – just donated $4,000 to South Carolina’s club hockey team. The squad was raising money for new equipment and was a few thousand short, so Hayden went ahead and took care of that. Cool gesture.

That’s a great gesture from Hurst, and it’s cool to see him keeping his ties to his alma mater.
Hurst was a first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2018 NFL Draft. As a rookie, he had 13 catches for 163 yards and a touchdown.
