Week 5 had many results that surprised college football fans across the country. Missouri dominated Florida to the tune of a 45-17 win that saw the Tigers finish with 560 yards of total offense. Alabama went to Mississippi State and scored the most points in program history against a ranked team.

Jeremiah Smith continued to show that he should be heading to New York after another 200-yard, multiple-touchdown performance for Ohio State.

Each week, the true playoff contenders start to separate themselves from the rest of the pack. In ESPN analyst Heather Dinichโ€™s latest projections for the 12-team Playoff field, she still has 6 teams from the SEC in her 12-team bracket.

  5. Alabama
  6. Notre Dame
  7. Indiana
  8. BYU
  9. Florida
