Wyatt Langford put one on the highlight reel Tuesday night in a game against Florida State.

The Florida left fielder robbed FSU’s Logan Lacey on a 3-2 blast in the third inning with one out and 2 runners on. Later that same inning, Langford beat out a ground ball would-be double play on the infield to give the Gators a go-ahead run to lead, 2-1.

The game, played in Jacksonville, was the first of 3 scheduled meetings between the teams this season. The Seminoles are No. 5, and the Gators are No. 16 in the latest Baseball America poll.

This series has been heavily weighted toward the Gators in recent years, as Florida is 30-18 against the Seminoles under head coach Kevin O’Sullivan, and the Gators have won 17 of the last 20 meetings.

The Gators are coming off of a 2-2 week where they beat Bethune-Cookman (3-2) and went 1-2 vs. No. 21 LSU over the weekend at home.

This weekend, Florida travels to Athens for a three-game series at Georgia, from Thursday to Saturday. The first game will air on ESPN2 at 8 p.m. ET.
