Iowa completed a dramatic comeback win over Michigan on Saturday in Ann Arbor, beating the Wolverines 20-19.
Hank Brown threw the game-winning touchdown as time expired to Reece Vander Zee give the Hawkeyes the 1-point win. This capped off a 91-yard drive in the game’s final minutes.

Iowa scored 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter to secure this win and also had another drive that ended with a missed field goal. The Hawkeyes were able to get just enough offensive production in order to steal this win at the buzzer and end Michigan’s undefeated start to the 2026 season.
Brown threw for 227 yards and 2 touchdowns, both of which went to Vander Zee. Overall, the Hawkeyes averaged just 4.8 yards per play and picked up just 58 total yards on the ground.
Iowa ultimately won because it won the turnover battle, was more efficient on late downs and was penalized much less often than the Wolverines were.
Now 4-0, Iowa will host Ohio State next weekend.
