Jabari Small explains how Hendon Hooker developed into a Heisman contender

Jabari Small has long been convinced that Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker is a Heisman Trophy contender, and during an interview on the SEC Network, he explained why.
Small agreed with teammate Jalin Hyatt’s opinion that Hooker is, indeed, in the mix for the Heisman.
“It’s crazy to see everything he’s doing,” Small said. “I’ve said before, Hendon, everything he does off the field translates, you know what I mean. Just the type of leader he is, the type of person he is, consistently, how vocal he is, it just translates to the field. He doesn’t take a day off, he doesn’t blink. He shows up in every big moment. Everything he’s getting, he deserves it.”
