Jackson Harris and the LSU Tigers are in a battle against Kentucky on Saturday night, and Harris delivered in a big way as he caught a touchdown despite taking a big hit by Jordan Castell.

Castell was initially flagged for a targeting penalty on the hit, and faced ejection, but the referees overturned that decision and deemed it a legal hit. Harris burst onto the scene for the Tigers two weeks ago at Texas A&M, when he finished with 12 catches for 163 yards and two touchdowns in the dominating victory against the Aggies.

Harris was hurt after the big hit, but eventually walked off under his own power.

LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt put together one of his best halves this season, going 14-of-18 for 122 yards and two touchdowns.

Since the loss to Ole Miss, the Tigers have gotten back on track with two big wins. However, this game against Kentucky was a major step up in competition. The SEC is a juggernaut and winning each and every week is a big challenge. Texas and Florida were both upset by teams in Oklahoma and South Carolina that entered the game struggling.

If Harris can continue to develop as a scoring threat and a guy that Leavitt can trust, the Tigers are going to be able to play with any team in the SEC.
