Jacksonville Jaguars to interview prominent SEC offensive coordinator after national championship, per reports

The Jacksonville Jaguars plan to interview Alabama offensive coordinator and former Houston Texans coach Bill O’Brien for their vacant head coaching job next week after Alabama plays in the national championship on Monday, according to multiple reports including Ian Rapoport and John Reid.
O’Brien in his first season has led Alabama to having the No. 5 total offense in America this season as QB Bryce Young also won the Heisman Trophy.
O’Brien spent more than 6 years as the Texans head coach, and went 52-48 with 4 AFC South titles and 4 playoff appearances. The Texans fired the 51-year-old O’Brien after an 0-4 start last season.
O’Brien previously spent 2 years as Penn State’s coach in 2012 and 2013. He took over an offense that previously had the likes of Heisman Trophy-winning wide receiver DeVonta Smith, along with quarterback Mac Jones and tailback Najee Harris, and kept the Crimson Tide at a high level on offense.
