Jacob Cowing, UTEP transfer WR, has 3 SEC teams in final 5 and sets announcement date

Jacob Cowing is one of the top wide receivers in the transfer portal, and he has 3 SEC teams among his final 5 with an announcement date set for Monday.
Cowing, who had 1,367 yards on 69 catches with 7 touchdowns for UTEP this season, which was ninth in the country. Cowing is a proven big-play threat, and last season averaged nearly 20 yards per catch and had 6 touchdowns of 50-plus yards this season. Cowing on Instagram announced that his top 5 schools were Florida, LSU, South Carolina, Arizona and Oregon.
Cowing was a first team All-Conference USA selection and still has 2 years of eligibility remaining.
When he entered the transfer portal, Cowing explained it this way:
Dear Miner Nation,
I just want thank you for all the love and the support of my three seasons here at Utep! To all my coaches and all the friendships I’ve got while being here you guys will forever be family to me ✊🏾 one of the hardest things I’ve done but I have to do what’s best for my family ‼️ coach dimel thank you for the opportunity and believing in me and letting me play for you it was a great journey ❤️
With that being said I’ve decided to enter the transfer portal for my last two years of eligibility, Gods plan 🙏🏽
