Jahmyr Gibbs snatches ankles of Minnesota Vikings defender with vicious cutback

Jahmyr Gibbs is having an electric performance on Christmas Eve. After a first-half touchdown for the Detroit Lions, Gibbs nearly broke free for another long run after converting a 4th-down play.
Facing a 4th-and-1, the Lions ran Gibbs up the middle. He burst through a hole in the Minnesota Viking defense but had one defender keying in to lay a hit.
Fortunately, Gibbs broke to the outside with a devastating cutback. He broke the defender’s ankles, sending the would-be tackler flying to the turf as he raced by.
A shoestring tackle kept Gibbs out of the endzone but he is having a key outing for the Lions. Here’s his latest highlight, including an alternate angle of the cutback:

With the fourth quarter underway, Gibbs is up to 76 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns to go with 20 yards in the passing game. Along the way, Gibbs’ touchdown — combined with Sam LaPorta’s stats — give the rookie duo a spot in NFL history.
