Jalen Milroe is officially in the fold with the Seattle Seahawks. The former Alabama quarterback has signed his rookie contract with Seattle, the team announced on Tuesday.

“To be able to have an organization that’s behind you—they selected me out of all the individuals that were placed in the draft, I was one of their selections in this year’s draft,” Milroe said. “So I’m tremendously happy that I have the support of the organization, but now it’s all about putting our best foot forward moving forward for the organization and for the guys in the locker room.”

Milroe was a 3rd-round pick (92nd overall) by the Seahawks in the 2025 NFL Draft. He spent his first 2 seasons with Alabama in 2021 and 2022 as a backup to Bryce Young.

In 2023, he became the starter, finishing 6th in the Heisman Trophy voting as the Crimson Tide won the SEC Championship en route to a College Football Playoff appearance. Following the retirement of Nick Saban, Milroe opted to return for Kalen DeBoer’s first season in 2024, but his play took a dip as the Crimson Tide failed to make the CFP even as the field expanded from 4 to 12 teams.

He’s now a member of the Seahawks’ quarterback room, one that now includes former 1st-round pick Sam Darnold and Drew Lock after Geno Smith was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.
