Jalen Thompson, 4-star DL out of Detroit, names 4 SEC programs among top 10

Jalen Thompson, a 4-star defensive line recruit out of Detroit, Michigan (Cass Technical), has named 4 SEC programs among his top 10 that he released on Friday.
Thompson listed Arkansas, Kentucky, Georgia and Vanderbilt, along with Pitt, Penn State, Michigan, Michigan State, Southern Cal and Cincinnati.
Thompson is listed at 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, and has a reported 23 offers, according to the 247Sports Composite, which ranks him the No. 2 player in the state of Michigan, and the No. 22 defensive lineman in the class of 2023. A couple of Crystal Ball predictions at 247Sports pegs Michigan State for Thompson.
Thompson played on the same defensive line this past season with a fellow 4-star recruit in Deone Walker, who is a Kentucky commit.
Thompson made the Detroit Free Press’ All-Detroit team after he finished this past season with 10 sacks, 18 quarterback pressures and 42 tackles, 14 of which were for loss.
