Jaxson Dart, former Ole Miss QB, suffers apparent knee injury on MNF

Jaxson Dart took the field on Monday night for the New York Giants, coming off a big victory against the Dallas Cowboys to start the year out 1-0. However, things took a bad turn as Dart was forced to leave the game with an apparent knee injury after getting hit while throwing the ball deep.
He was forced to head back to the locker room to be evaluated, and former Florida State star Jameis Winston went into the game and took his place.
During his time as the quarterback with the Giants, there has been a concern with whether or not he can remain healthy throughout the season. Last year as a rookie, he had to be taken out of multiple games to be evaluated for a concussion. He plays with a reckless abandon that may earn the respect of teammates, but it scares coaches and general managers.
Dart was drafted with the No. 25 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft after playing his final three seasons in college at Ole Miss. He finished his career with the Rebels with 10,617 yards, 72 touchdowns, and 22 interceptions.
