Jaylen Waddle breaks Miami Dolphins rookie record

Jaylen Waddle’s rookie season looks to be one for the record books. On Monday, Waddle broke a Miami Dolphins rookie record.
Despite missing last week’s game, Waddle now has the most receiving yards for a first-year Dolphin pass-catcher. Waddle passed the previous mark of 883 receiving yards, set by Chris Chambers in 2001.

Waddle has had a big night in the Superdome. Against the New Orleans Saints, Waddle has 9 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown. The TD reception came on the below play:

The Dolphins lead the Saints 17-3 in the third quarter.
Waddle is closing in on a bigger rookie record. Anquan Boldin’s 101 receptions are the most ever for an NFL rookie. Waddle is up to 95 receptions with his 9 on Monday night.
