Jeff Lebby and Mississippi State had a tough game at LSU on Saturday, as the Bulldogs lost the game 31-0. A big reason why the Bulldogs struggled on offense was that star quarterback Kamario Taylor missed the game due to an injury.
After suffering an injury in the loss to Alabama, Taylor was question for much of last week, before being downgraded the day before the game and then being ruled out.
As the Bulldogs prepare for Oklahoma this week, Lebby provided an update on his star quarterback.
“It’s going to be day-to-day,” Lebby said. “He’s got a lot of work to do, but we’ll see where we end up.”
For the first month of the season, no player was getting as much hype as Taylor. He is having a great season, as he has 1,750 passing yards, 17 touchdowns and four interceptions.
The Bulldogs not only missed Taylor, but they also didn’t have Fluff Bothwell in the game. He currently leads the team with 403 rushing yards, and he has the ability to create the playaction opportunities for the offense.
Mississippi State will be in action in Week 8 when the Bulldogs take on the Oklahoma Sooners.
