Jeff Lebby to retain key defensive assistant at Mississippi State

Jeff Lebby is expected to retain defensive line coach David Turner at Mississippi State on his new staff, according to a report from Matt Zenitz.
Turner is in the middle of his 3rd stint with the Bulldogs program. He originally coached the defensive line from 2007-09 before returning in 2013-15. He made stops at Florida, Texas A&M and Georgia Tech before joining Arnett’s staff this season.
Prior to MSU, Turner had stops at NC State, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Virginia and Minnesota. According to MSU’s website, Turner has helped lead teams to 17 bowl berths across his career.

A decision has been made regarding a few assistants from Arnett’s staff. WR coach Chad Bumphus will return with the Bulldogs, though OC Kevin Barbay will not remain on staff.
