Jeremiah Cobb extends Auburn’s lead over Baylor with first TD of the season
Auburn’s offense has its first touchdown of the 2026 season.
The Tigers found the end zone thanks to a 15-yard run from star Jeremiah Cobb. It capped off a 5-play, 57-yard drive late in the first half.
Here’s a clip of Cobb’s score, which gave the Tigers a 10-0 lead:
Auburn‘s offense struggled early on against Baylor, managing just 43 yards over its first 4 drives of the game. The Tigers’ 5th drive showed promise, but ended with a Byrum Brown interception.

The breakthrough then came on drive No. 6. The Tigers were facing a 3rd-and-8 near midfield but then ripped of back-to-back-to-back explosive plays.
Cobb enters this season as one of the nation’s best running backs. Last year, Cobb rushed for 969 yards while playing for a Tigers offense that struggled mightily at times throughout the year.
Auburn was a significant favorite in the betting markets for this game โ most books had the Tigers as -7. The Tigers won in Waco last season, but were ultimately disappointing in SEC play and made a coaching change during the offseason.
The all-time series record between these teams is tied at 2-2-1 entering Saturday’s contest.
