Jesse Legree has burst onto the scene during his freshman campaign at Oregon State this year. Through seven games, he has 46 catches for 1,040 yards and 14 touchdowns, with the yards and touchdowns leading the country.

There had been a ton of conversation already seeing if Legree would stay in Corvallis moving forward, but on Friday, he answered that question in a way that will make Beavers’ fans extremely excited.

According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Legree has officially re-signed with Oregon State for the 2027 season:

Legree was not a big-time prospect out of high school, as he was only a 3-star recruit from Baltimore. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, he was the No. 1713 player in the class. He had offers from Buffalo, Temple, and Pittsburgh, among others.

In each of his first seven games, he has had at least four catches and 100 yards. He has scored a touchdown in every game, while having two games with three scores. In a game against Texas Tech in Week 2, he had eight catches for 240 yards and two touchdowns.

For the Beavers, getting a commitment from Legree for next season is a monster announcement for coach JaMarcus Shephard. Like Legree, he is in his first year in Corvallis, and he has the program moving in the right direction after being left when the other Pac-12 schools joined the B1G.
