Jimbo Fisher is pleased with Haynes King’s work ethic as the newly named starter settled into a key role for the Aggies.

“There’s not a guy who works harder,” Fisher said on the SEC coaches media teleconference. “… The whole QB room does a good job that way. Haynes is a guy who busts his tail with everything he does. … He sets a great example.”

As for availabilities moving forward, even though Devon Achane will have an increased role on offense, Fisher still expects him to return kicks. Achane is one of the more dynamic players in the SEC, and last season led the SEC and was top-11 in the country in yards per attempt with 7.0. He was second on the team in rushing with 910 yards, and led the team with 11 total touchdowns, including at least one as a rusher, returner and receiver.

On the injury front, Fisher said freshman DL Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy is still recovering from a knee injury sustained in high school, but may be back in practice in the coming weeks.
