The biggest game of the Week 3 SEC football schedule is the highly anticipated return of former Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin to Oxford in a top-10 showdown between the Rebels and the LSU Tigers.

Kiffin and the Bayou Bengals will enter The Grove looking for a signature early-season win, while Pete Golding and Ole Miss will look to rub some dirt in the eye of the man who left them high and dry before the College Football Playoff last season while also securing a signature win of their own.

Everybody in America has had this one circled on their calendar all offseason, including Fox analyst Joel Klatt, who broke down the matchup and picked his winner on Thursday.

โ€œI do know what Iโ€™m going to get from (Ole Miss QB Trinidad) Chambliss,โ€ Klatt said, per Tiger Droppings. โ€œI think Lane knows what heโ€™s going to get from Chambliss, and because of that, look for a defensive structure from Baker and that LSU defense that is going to try to force Chambliss to beat him from the pocket… I think LSU actually goes in and wins the game. Iโ€™ve got 28-20. Lane goes back to Ole Miss and gets a win with LSU.โ€

Kiffin’s familiarity with his former quarterback certainly can’t be overlooked, and this looks to be the main reason Klatt is picking the Bayou Bengals to come out on top over the Rebels.

Regardless of who comes out on top in this rivalry clash, there will be plenty of fireworks under the lights in Mississippi between these 2 SEC heavyweights.
