Week 2 of the 2026 college football season is officially in the books, and several massive surprises across the country shook up the pecking order in all the major national rankings.

Previously top-ranked squads like the Oregon Ducks and Oklahoma Sooners plummeted following their disastrous upset losses. In contrast, other teams like Texas rose several spots thanks to massive wins over ranked opponents.

Fox Sports analyst Joel Klatt broke down all the action from this past Saturday on his podcast Monday morning, and he revealed his new personal top-10 following a tumultuous weekend of play, and it differed from the AP and Coaches polls a good bit.

Unsurprisingly, Klatt ranked the Texas Longhorns No. 1 in his new top-10 after their insane second-half comeback over Ohio State at home. He also ranked the Buckeyes right behind the Horns at No. 2, despite the disastrous 20-point collapse they suffered against the new No. 1 squad in the nation.

Outside of Texas, Klatt also had 3 other SEC squads in his rankings, with Georgia at No. 3, LSU at No. 5, and Alabama at No. 8 after each of them took care of their respective Week 2 opponents in dominant fashion.

Week 3 is set to feature another slate of high-profile matchups that is sure to shake Klatt’s rankings up again, so it will be interesting to see where each of these squads ends up being slotted come next Monday.
