After Week 4 of the 2025 college football season, FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt announced his updated top 10, and it’s brimming with familiar contenders and rising threats.
Ohio State holds the top spot, with sophomore Julian Sayin continuing to impress with his poise and accuracy (86.4% completion rate over the last two games). Miami checks in at No. 2 behind Carson Beck’s playmaking, while Georgia rises to No. 3 thanks to Gunner Stockton’s clutch performance in key moments.
Penn State lands at No. 4 despite Drew Allar’s slow start, with the Nittany Lions defense and running back depth holding them together before the real test against Oregon on tap for Saturday.
Speaking of the Ducks, who are coming off a blowout win against Oregon State, they slot in at No. 5. Florida State climbs to No. 6, with Tommy Castellanos leading a balanced offense. LSU follows at No. 7 after Garrett Nussmeier’s 273 yards and three touchdowns led the way last weekend, and Oklahoma sits at No. 8 with John Mateer playing like a top Heisman Trophy candidate.
Rounding out Klatt’s top 10 are Indiana at No. 9, powered by Fernando Mendoza’s strong performances, and Texas at No. 10. With the season still young, these teams are positioning themselves for potential College Football Playoff runs, but the next few weeks will be crucial in separating the contenders from the pretenders.
