Florida is currently expected to make a change at QB and to start sophomore Tramell Jones against Oklahoma on Saturday, sources tell @CBSSports. Was a Class of 2025 four-star recruit and helped the Gators beat Texas Oct. 17 when he started in place of an injured Aaron Philo. https://t.co/JkYlj54pAI

Saturday’s start will be Jones’ first when Aaron Philo is healthy. Philo, a Georgia Tech transfer, won the job in starting camp and started Florida’s first 6 games. In Week 7 at Texas, Philo was sidelined by injury and Jones guided the Gators to a 27-24 win over the No. 7 Longhorns in Austin.
First-year Florida head coach Jon Sumrall opted to go with Philo against Georgia this past Saturday in Atlanta. Philo was pulled for Jones after two early interceptions. Jones finished 17-of-24 passing for 172 yards, though he also had 2 fumbles (1 lost) and 1 interception in a 27-8 loss to the Bulldogs. On the year, Jones is 63-of-89 passing for 579 yards, 4 touchdowns and 3 interceptions.
Florida and Oklahoma are set for a 7:45 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday night in The Swamp.
