Jonathan Paylor, 4-star ATH and Gamecock target, changes commitment date
Jonathan Paylor made an announcement on social media on Saturday. The South Carolina target changed his commitment date.
Paylor has experience on both sides of the ball as is listed as a 4-star athlete from the 2024 class. The 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 10 athlete and No. 2 recruit from the state of North Carolina.
Instead of committing on Aug. 5, Paylor will now be doing so a day earlier on Aug. 4. The athlete will be making a decision at 6 p.m. ET at his high school.
Paylor will be picking between Maryland, N.C. State, North Carolina, and South Carolina according to 247Sports.
Sorry for the inconvenience and the such late notice but will be moving my commitment to August 4th at Cummings high school 6:00 pm.

Things are moving in the right direction for the Gamecocks under Shane Beamer. Wins over ranked opponents like Tennessee and Clemson last season are proof of that.
After an eight-win season in 2022, recruits from around the country are starting to take notice and Paylor is no exception.
The Gamecocks ended the year with a 45-38 loss to Notre Dame in the Gator Bowl. South Carolina is showing a lot of promise.
A commitment from Paylor would be a huge win for the program. A versatile player like Paylor could do well at either of his finalists.
It looks like South Carolina fans won’t have to wait as long for a decision from Paylor.
