Josh Heupel updates player availability ahead of Music City Bowl against Purdue

Josh Heupel and Tennessee players are getting set to begin bowl preparations and practice ahead of the Music City Bowl.
The coach met with the media on Saturday to discuss players being available for the game against Purdue, and shared some thoughts from his conversation with DB Alontae Taylor about his decision to sit out the bowl to prepare for the NFL Draft. Heupel said Taylor took information in about where he was slotted, and made a good decision for him.
“You want to be able to give good, concrete information to kids and have them make a really sound decision for themselves and I feel like Alontae did that,” Heupel said. “A guy that battled through injury the last 3 weeks of the season that not many people knew.”
Heupel said there haven’t been other players who said they’ll sit out the game, but others are making their decision.
“Whoever ends up showing up will be ready to play, but I anticipate having a pretty full roster,” Heupel said.
