The LSU Tigers have added another quarterback out of the transfer portal, landing former Middle Tennessee and Miami quarterback Kaden Martin โ the son of former Tennessee legend Tee Martin.
Tee Martin is on Lane Kiffinโs staff at LSU, serving as an offensive analyst. His son Kaden was a 2022 prospect out of Buford, Ga., who originally enrolled at Miami as a two-sport standout and played for the Hurricanes baseball team as a freshman.

Martin, a dual-threat quarterback, transferred to MTSU in 2023 and did not record a statistic in either sport for the three seasons he was in Murfreesboro. He joins a crowded quarterback room headed by transfer Sam Leavitt from Arizona State and presumptive backups Husan Longstreet from USC and Landen Clark from Elon.
LSU was busy in the transfer portal in the months following Kiffinโs controversial hire, adding a whopping 40 players โ including former 5-star prospects Leavitt, offensive tackle Jordan Seaton and edge Princewill Umanmielen.
LSU, which went 7-6 in 2025 and fired coach Brian Kelly midseason, begins the 2026 campaign Sept. 5 at home vs. Clemson (7:30 pm ET, ABC). The Tigers remain home Sept. 12 against Louisiana Tech before embarking on SEC play Sept. 19 at Ole Miss โ a polarizing trip to Oxford for Kiffin, who coached the Rebels for six seasons before bolting on the eve of the College Football Playoff.
