Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer met with reporters on Monday morning in Tuscaloosa following the Tide’s Week 3 win over Florida State.

DeBoer addressed many topics, including the health of running backs EJ Crowell and Daniel Hill. Neither player was able to finish the FSU game due to minor injuries, but DeBoer expects both will be able to suit up in Week 4 against South Carolina.

“EJ, we anticipate him to be good to go by the weekend,” DeBoer told reporters in Tuscaloosa. “Daniel Hill, I would expect right now he would be good to go this week.”

Crowell is a true freshman who has quickly emerged as a top option in Alabama‘s backfield. He leads all Alabama running backs with 6.2 yards per carry and has already scored 3 touchdowns so far this season.

Hill has been Alabama’s leading rusher to this point in the year. He has a team-high 38 carries for 210 yards and 3 touchdowns through the first 3 games of the campaign.

Trae’shawn Brown and Kevin Riley have also received significant work out of the backfield and may continue to play increased roles if Hill and Crowell are less than 100 percent.

Alabama and South Carolina will kick off at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
