No. 6 Alabama hosts No. 11 Tennessee on Saturday in a massive SEC primetime showdown. Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer will once again don his trusty black hoodie under the lights at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Alabama is now 12-2 when DeBoer wears the hoodie, so he’s not planning to mess with superstition for the time being, as he confirmed on SEC Nation.

“Yea, there will be one on,” DeBoer said.

DeBoer is grateful that his players and staff have rallied around each other after the season opening loss at then-unranked Alabama.

“I love these guys. I love this program. I love our coaching staff. Everyone’s got to do their job. Everyone’s counting on me. Everyone’s counting on the players. The players are counting on each other and the staff as well. Just doing my part to make sure I’m bringing everything I’ve got to our team,” DeBoer said. “Understanding the areas that we’re strong in. Understanding the areas we can continue to grow and improve in.”

DeBoer also touched on the importance of keeping and retaining his roster for the sake of continuity.

“I think it is huge. Especially after Week 1,” DeBoer said. “We kind of challenged the guys. ‘Are we really this tight? Do we really want it for each other this much?’ We’ve said it all along. There’s been so many actions in the offseason that showed it but now there’s real adversity. Our response is something that I’m really proud of.”

Tennessee at Alabama is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (ABC).
