Kalen DeBoer and Alabama are dealing with adversity, as the Crimson Tide have lost two consecutive games after starting 5-0. In Week 7, the Crimson Tide were absolutely dominated at Tennessee, losing to the Volunteers 26-10.

The offense really struggled in the game, as Tennessee had five sacks and 10 TFLs. Keelon Russell really struggled, finishing with 147 passing yards and two interceptions.

Still, Alabama sits at 5-2 on the season with 5 games still to play. DeBoer addressed reporters on Monday and insisted that the Crimson Tide still control their own destiny heading into Week 8 against Texas A&M.

“Everything is in front of us,” DeBoer said. “You got to keep it really simple, and you gotta hone in on what you can control, and that’s about improvement today.”

For the Crimson Tide, getting things rolling back on offense will play a big role in making a run at the College Football Playoff. With wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams out due to an injury, and he was missed on offense. DeBoer said that he isn’t expected to practice throughout the week, but they will find out more at the end of the week.

The game against the Aggies will be the first opportunity to get the season back going for the Crimson Tide. The only remaining ranked team on the schedule is a Week 9 game at LSU.
