Kalen DeBoer revealed on Saturday afternoon that Alabama star wide receiver Germie Bernard and standout center Parker Brailsford “should be available to play” in the Iron Bowl next week at Auburn.

The Bama head coach updated his players’ status in remarks to the Crimson Tide Sports Network leading up to the kickoff of Saturday’s Week 13 matchup against Eastern Illinois. On Saturday morning, it was revealed that Bernard and Brailsford would miss the Eastern Illinois game, and that starting tight end Josh Cuevas would sit out the game, too, after being injured during practice this week.

The Cuevas injury was reported by On3 on Saturday morning.

Bernard has been a huge part of the Bama passing offense this season, leading the Crimson Tide in receptions (48), receiving yards (676) and touchdown catches (6). Brailsford is also a big part of the Tide offense as the anchor of the offensive line, and DeBoer believes both key players are on track to play at Auburn after sitting out on Saturday.

Like Bernard, Cuevas has also emerged this season as a big weapon for quarterback Ty Simpson. Cuevas has 30 catches this year for 341 yards and 4 touchdowns. There was no pregame update on Saturday from Kalen DeBoer regarding Cuevas’s status next week.
