The No. 19-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide is gearing up for a pivotal Week 3 matchup against the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, and everybody’s attention has turned towards the status of the Tide’s sophomore wideout, Ryan Williams.

Williams was knocked out of Alabama’s week 1 loss to the Florida State Seminoles and missed the Tide’s week 2 game against the ULM Warhawks due to the lingering effects of the concussion he suffered against the Noles.

Bama had little issue making quick work of ULM without Williams, but the Badgers are sure to pose a much bigger challenge this Saturday.

Fortunately for the Tide, though, head coach Kalen DeBoer announced on Wednesday that he expects Williams to suit up this weekend against Wisconsin.

The exact amount of playing time that Williams will receive and the extent of his involvement in the Tide’s game plan remains to be seen, but the fact that he will be suiting up at all is a massive boost for the team in itself.

It will be interesting to see what Williams looks like against Wisconsin and whether or not there are any lingering effects from the concussion he suffered a couple of weeks back.
