Kamari Lassiter has decided on his plans for 2024 and beyond. Lassiter decided to play in the Orange Bowl against Florida State, which made some believe he would come back for one more season in Athens.

However, Lassiter instead will declare for the 2024 NFL Draft, per an announcement on his Instagram.

Lassiter established himself as a lockdown corner for the Bulldogs. Through 2 seasons as a starter, Lassiter collected 75 tackles, 1 sack, defended 12 passes. Lassiter was a key piece of a defense that ranked No. 9 in the nation against the pass in 2023.

Kirby Smart did not expect Lassiter to play in Georgia’s bowl game.

“He called me two days later and said, ‘Coach, I can’t do it. I can’t do it. I’m sitting down, I’m over there coaching. I can’t do it. I want to be out there. I want to play with my guys,’” Smart explained. However, Lassiter played, and we now know that was his last game as a Bulldog.

The Bulldogs easily handled the Seminoles, winning 63-3 in Miami. UGA racked up almost 700 total yards of offense and forced 4 turnovers. The short-handed Noles mustered just over 200 total yards of offense.
