Kayshon Boutte had an interesting offseason at LSU as he recovered from a leg injury that kept him out of the final 6 games (and the bowl game) during the 2021 season.

Boutte was called out on a couple of occasions by new head coach Brian Kelly, but seemed to respond to the challenges and was on the field in Week 1 for the Tigers.

During the devastating loss to Florida State, though, Boutte was basically a non-factor. He recorded only 2 catches for 20 yards in the 24-23 defeat.

Now, it appears he’s taking out his frustrations on social media. As you can see below, he had deleted all mentions of LSU from his Instagram page following the game:

QB Jayden Daniels and the LSU offense had trouble moving the ball through the air all night long outside of a 99-yard drive late in the fourth quarter.

The kicking game also obviously had trouble blocking, so there are some areas of concern for Kelly and the Tigers moving forward. Will Boutte still be around in a few weeks? We’ll see how things go and what Brian Kelly says about the star receiver this week during his press conferences.

For now, though, this is a situation to monitor in Baton Rouge.
