Chad Ochocinco would famously and frequently call his coaches at 2 a.m. to remind them he was open, and one of his many signature slogans read “Death, Taxes, and #85 gonna always be open.”

The legendary NFL receiver has inspired generations of athletes to claim the same thing since he graced the field, yet none have likely taken it to the level of Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion.

Per AggiesToday and On3’s reporting, the NC State transfer recently announced that he has signed a NIL deal with popular gas station chain 7-Eleven. Of course, the company’s stores are mostly open 24 hours a day, prompting it to create an “Always Open” campaign with talented receivers.

Notably, Cincinnati Bengals’ WR Ja’Marr Chase has released two lines of merchandise with 7-Eleven as part of the campaign, which now appears to be trickling down to the collegiate level.

Joining the likes of Chase under the “Always Open” umbrella, Concepcion is projected to be one of the focal points within Texas A&M’s offense this season. The versatile playmaker starred as a freshman at NC State, posting 839 receiving yards, 320 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023.

But as the Wolfpack slumped in 2024, so did Concepcion. He registered 460 receiving yards and just 36 yards on the ground before arriving in College Station this offseason.
