Keelon Russell uncorks perfect throw in-stride to Lotzeir Brooks for opening TD

Keelon Russell just keeps getting better and better.
The Alabama sophomore quarterback has the Crimson Tide up 21-3 with 7 minutes remaining in the second quarter against South Carolina. Russell has been nearly perfect to start this one, connecting on 9 of his 10 passing attempts for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Russell’s first touchdown of the day was an absolute beauty, too. He hit Lotzeir Brooks with a ball that was placed perfectly in stride, leading to a 75-yards touchdown on the first play of Alabama’s drive.

His second touchdown of the day was a wide-open dart to Ryan Coleman-Williams to up Alabama’s lead to 14.
Finally, Russell placed another throw to Coleman-Williams, who was wide open behind South Carolina’s secondary:
Those who have been watching Russell since Week 1 can see that the Alabama quarterback is already improving. He’s trusting his arm and letting it rip more often, letting his arm talent shine as he learns the ins and outs of running a talented SEC offense. It’s obvious that Russell’s confidence is through the roof through the first 20-25 minutes of this one.
