Banks was a 42-game starter for Steve Sarkisian and Texas during his time with the Longhorns. He would capture the Lombardi Award as the top lineman in all of college football and the Outland Trophy as the top interior lineman in college football during the 2024 season. He was also named a unanimous All-American while helping the Longhorns reach the national semifinals in consecutive seasons.
Banks would become the 3rd offensive tackle selected in this year’s NFL Draft. Only LSU OT Will Campbell (No. 4 overall) and Mizzou OT Armand Membou (No. 7 overall) were drafted higher.
