For the second consecutive week, Kentucky has won an SEC game in overtime.

Last week, the Wildcats beat South Carolina on the road. On Saturday night, Kentucky took down No. 10 LSU thanks to a successful 2-point conversion.

Quarterback Kenny Minchey strolled into the end zone to give the Wildcats one of their best wins in recent memory. Here’s a clip of the final play:

Kentucky is now 3-1 on the season with a pair of ranked victories on its résumé. Per the broadcast, Kentucky is the first FBS team in college football history to win overtime games by exactly 1 point in back-to-back weeks.

UK’s win came despite multiple missed field goals in the fourth quarter from kicker Adam Zouagui. He had opportunities from 42 and 26 yards to tie the game, but missed both.

However, Zouagui was able to redeem himself with a 33-yarder in the closing seconds of regulation to push the game into overtime.

For LSU, this is a devastating loss for its CFP aspirations. The Tigers have now dropped 2 games before mid-October and will face an uphill battle to get into the 12-team field at the end of the season.

Kentucky will now travel to face Oklahoma in Norman in Week 7.
