Kentucky football added its 4th commitment in the last 2 days on Monday, landing a pledge from 3-star offensive lineman Reed Gerken. This comes after the Wildcats landed 3 pledges on Sunday: 3-star linebacker Drew Williams, 3-star WR Austin Coles and 3-star DL Malachi Brown.
The Wildcats now have a top 10 class in the 2027 rankings according to 247Sports, sitting 4th in the SEC behind Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Florida.
As you can see above, Gerken chose the Wildcats over the likes of Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and Illinois. He also held offers from Tennessee, Arkansas and North Carolina, to name a few.
Gerken stands at 6-foot-5, 305 pounds and hails from Perrysburg high school in Perrysburg, Ohio, located just south of Toledo on the border with Michigan. The Class of 2027 prospect is the 3rd offensive lineman to commit to Kentucky this cycle, joining 3-star interior offensive linemen Ian Walker and Brady Hull.
According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Gerken is considered to be the No. 611 overall prospect in the Class of 2027, as well as the No. 53 offensive tackle and the No. 23 prospect out of the Buckeye State.
