Kentucky has convinced a defensive target to commit to UK and scrap his visit to a rival program.

Fresh off a recent visit to Lexington, Jordan Crutchfield has committed to play for Kentucky. He had planned on visiting Louisville, but that’s no longer the case with his verbal pledge to UK.

Crutchfield is set to play his senior season at Vero Beach (Florida) High School. He is listed as measuring 6-3, 200 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Crutchfield is rated 3-stars, the No. 40 safety, No. 64 player in the state of Florida and No. 463 prospect overall nationally.

Kentucky and Louisville were not the only programs in the mix for Crutchfield. He picked up 31 scholarship offers during his recruitment, including Florida, Georgia Tech, Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina and Texas A&M. On May 13, Crutchfield identified his top schools as Auburn, Florida State, Miami, Louisville, Mississippi State and Kentucky.

Crutchfield is UK’s 3rd commitment in the month of June go give Mark Stoops‘ staff 4 verbal pledges in the 2026 class, which ranks No. 76 nationally on the Composite. Fans can get a preview of what Crutchfield brings to Lexington by watching his highlights from last season at Fort Pierce (Florida) Westwood High School in the video below:
