Will Stein and Kentucky have reportedly added to their linebacker corps through the transfer portal, adding a player who already has ties to the program.

Tavion Wallace, a member of Arkansas‘ 2025 recruiting class, has committed to the Wildcats, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Saturday. Wallace will have three years of eligibility remaining.

The Georgia native was considered one of the nation’s top LB recruits in his class when he signed with Arkansas. Wallace was a four-star recruit, ranked No. 16 among all linebackers and within the top 200 high school players on 247Sports’ Composite.

While he appeared in nine games with the Razorbacks as a true freshman, his actual time on the field was limited as he was credited with just two tackles. He then entered the portal, leading to his commitment to Kentucky.

If the last name sounds familiar, it’s because Tavion Wallace is the younger brother of Trevin Wallace. The older Wallace recorded 166 tackles, 18.0 tackles for a loss, and 10.0 sacks in three seasons in Lexington from 2021 to 2023. The four-star recruit was eventually taken by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Tavion Wallace’s commitment makes him the first incoming transfer of the Will Stein era.
