Kentucky continued its dream season on Saturday night with a 34-17 victory at home against Vanderbilt.
It wasn’t the best performance of the year for the Wildcats, but the bottom line is that they are going into their bye with a 7-1 record and five straight SEC wins.

The lone loss on the season for the Wildcats is a 45-17 loss to Alabama in Week 3. The Wildcats actually took a four-point lead into the half, but was unable to keep things going.
Since then, the Wildcats have played some incredible games, including back-to-back 35-34 overtime victories over both South Carolina and LSU.
Quarterback Kenny Minchey transferred in from Notre Dame during the off-season, and he has played a huge role in the team’s success. On the year, he has thrown for 1,552 yards, 13 touchdowns and only one interception.
For the Wildcats, the bye is coming at the perfect time, as this team has played eight straight weeks. With a road trip to Knoxville to take on Tennessee looming in Week 10, the Wildcats could use a week to get healthy and ready for what figures to be an incredible November in Lexington.
